Monterey Process Server
Our Process Serving Division serves the defendants and witnesses promptly, the Proof of Services are generated daily. Our servers are quick to verify addresses by checking with neighbors and conducting address checks through the U.S. postal service if needed. Status reports are prepared and emailed to you.
Our process servers are professionally trained, registered and bonded. Let us help you stay covered, while providing excellent service and attention to detail. We utilize online information and quickly work your papers to get them served as soon as possible.
Our goal is to complete your service quickly so that your work flow is as efficient as possible. (We can handle all of your process serving needs where-ever the job is located.) All Process Serving jobs includes 3 attempts at one address per person **This also includes Filing Proof of Services at Monterey Courthouse only.)**
- If known, please provide us with a physical description (including approximate age) of the person to be served, especially in cases where there is a “junior” and “senior” living at the same address.
- If the subject is known to be violent, please include this information and the details for us.
- If known, provide the name of the business where we are attempting service and the hours defendant might be found there.
- Always include at least one copy of documents for each defendant to be served.
- If we are serving an agent on behalf of a company, please specify in your instructions which company is being served.
Fax Filing Information:
- Index tabs or Exhibit pages will be added to your documents to make it look professional before arriving to courthouse if requested.
- It’s important for you to provide us with the number of documents to be filed and the title of those documents.
- Confirmation or notice of rejection by court will be sent to you on a same-day basis as your filing request.
- Courtesy Copies to Judge’s Chambers – Please note that as a general rule Monterey County, Santa Cruz County and San Benito County Courts do not accept courtesy copies. If a judge has specifically requested a courtesy copy, please be sure to include this information in your instructions to us, as this is not a standard procedure.
Monterey Monthly Court Courier Services
As Quick As A Wink Process Serviceoffers We have daily courier service to the Monterey Courthouse. The service is performed as follows: Each weekday morning, we will telephone your office to see whether or not you have any documentation that needs to be taken to the Monterey Branch Court for processing. If so, we pick up the documentation and deliver it to the Monterey Branch Court the same day. If you have work daily for the court, we can make arrangements to stop by daily, rather than phone. The documentation is left for processing and picked up the same day in the afternoon (if completed by the clerks).
We work with the clerks to ensure as many urgent filings as possible can be accommodated at counter. The conformed copies are delivered back to your office or PDF the following day when we pick up your new work. (Let us do the work for you, Let us stand in those long lines for you so you can meet with your clients.)

Allow us to visit your customer in person and politely communicate your concerns and make inquiries. I can personally work with you and communicate with the other party deliver/pick up your documentation, take photos and collect any information.
We handle Special Deliveries the same way we handle our Legal Deliveries with special Care and attention that it deserves.
We handle all of our Pick-ups and Deliveries with Special Care and make sure it gets from one place to the next on time.
Let us do the hard work for you, we will stand in line, so you don't have to waste your time. We will file your documents quickly and efficiently. If there is any problem completing the filing we notify you before we leave the courthouse. Our courts do not accept fax or electronic filing directly, but you can have your documents sent to us in any format ( same day by 1pm and we will walk them into the courthouse for you.
We pick up documents daily for our clients and PDF them to the clients by email by the end of the day. I also can hand deliver if local (if clients would like the documents mailed over night extra fee applies:

As Quick As A Wink Process Service is not responsible for any documentation rejected by the court. We can deliver documentation to the court, but we cannot make the clerks accept documentation that they feel is not acceptable. Any information that you wish to be relayed to the clerk’s office should be in writing, directed to the clerks, and attached to your paperwork. Any status requests should also be directed to the clerks in writing so that we can deliver this to the clerk’s office for you. Any statutes or urgent needs should be highlighted on the messenger slip to bring the deadlines to the clerk’s attention.
Research requests at the court or requests for copies out of case files are invoiced separately and are not considered part of the monthly service. We consider these jobs separate as the services are performed on a separate floor of the courthouse and we must incur wait time for files, etc.

Rates are per address, per case and per defendant. For 2 defendants at same address, second serve will be discounted. Pre-payment is required for any and all work completed (with exception to volume and/or repeat clients who have established accounts and are billed per invoice).
